About Us
Our team consists of the creative combination to not only dream up interesting and unique concepts, but also the industry knowledge and experience to make those dreams a reality, and put an end product into the viewers hand.
HighView Productions is an independent production company that is based in Los Angeles. Founded by cousins Kevin J. Tighe, Christopher DeMaria, and Kevin Kelly, HighView has managed, in a short time, to build associations with many other freelance workers and vendors providing the company access to equipment, support and creative property to create quality films at the highest standards of production.
We at HighView are interested in all forms of production and hope to build our client-base to take on projects in television, music videos, documentaries features and short films. With our combined experience, it is only a matter of time before we are sufficiently creating these mediums for outside clients.
If there is one word that describes HighView it would be dedication. Dedication to our crews, dedication to our projects, and dedication to our individual and collective crafts. We do not want to just simply create mediocre projects. We hope to one day have the privilege of making a movie that will entertain and inspire audiences. Whether it is making someone laugh or cry, putting them on the edge of their seats with fear, or making them feel like a kid again, creating a project that someone can relate to on some level and feel a connection with is our ultimate goal. And with this goal, we will treat every endeavor we take as if it is our first, our last, and our only.
Although we wish to have a hand in all forms of production, feature filmmaking is the reason we are here today. The art of story telling through a visual medium is a talent that is not easily mastered. It is truly a gift to be able to create a concept, put it down on paper, and then, gather the means needed to make it into a masterpiece that thousands of people from all ages can enjoy on the big screen. When the day comes where HighView Productions is known for doing just this, we will know that we have completed our mission.
Kevin G. Kelly – Writer/Actor
Kevin G. Kelly moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and immediately began making his mark among fellow actors and writers in the industry. Kevin has sought out and acquired positions and creative projects that have helped him develop a keen knowledge of both film and theatre. He is currently interning for a management company where he does coverage on studio and independent scripts. While he continues to seek out acting projects on an ongoing basis, as co-founder of HighView Productions, has writing and acting projects in development.
Since his time in Los Angeles, Kevin has written and acted in two fully produced independent projects. He co-wrote and played Brad, one of the lead roles in InConvenience. Additionally, he co-wrote and acted in a sketch comedy show, “Amateur Hour”.
Kevin graduated from the School of Acting at William Esper Studios in New York City in 2006. Kevin also developed his skills as a writer while in New York. He wrote for a public access show entitled, “The Crayer Adventures” and one of his own films, a short story titled, “A Moment of Awkwardness”.
Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science from the North Carolina State University’s School of Business. The business and money management skills he learned while achieving his degree have proven to be invaluable during his experiences in film production.
Christopher DeMaria – Director
Upon his arrival in Los Angeles in 2005, Christopher DeMaria began his professional career in freelance commercial production. Through his experiences as a production assistant and coordinator, he has had the opportunity to work and learn from several directors both on set and throughout the creative stage. The variety of projects he has worked on has provided new skills and techniques that have also applied to his ongoing independent projects.
Christopher has been writing, directing and editing his own projects since high school, when his love for the art first began. While InConvenience is his first official project as a director, it has already proven to be a credit to Christopher’s dedication. In June of 2008, the organizers of the Staten Island Film Festival selected Christopher as the festival’s Best New Filmmaker for his work on InConvenience.
Applying his passion for directing and overall understanding of filmmaking, Christopher also co-wrote and co-produced InConvenience. Never losing enthusiasm, he continues to write additional short and commercial scripts that he plans to direct in the near future.
Christopher received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Ramapo College, one of New Jersey’s highest ranked liberal arts colleges. He focused his studies on classes that helped him develop and fine-tune his creative skills.
Kevin J. Tighe – Producer
Aiming to learn everything he can about all aspects of production and filmmaking, Kevin Tighe moved to Los Angeles in 2005 and immediately began working in the freelance production world. Although most of Kevin’s experience has been in commercial production, he has also worked in television, feature films, music videos and documentaries. Kevin continues to hone his skills by using what he has learned on various projects in his own independent projects.
Kevin’s first experience in movie production was as the Assistant Production Coordinator on the independent feature film, “Say Hello to Stan Talmagde” in 2007. Through this experience, Kevin learned the ins and outs of film production, which only furthered his passion for the role of producer in filmmaking. Shortly after the completion of the film, Kevin began work on InConvenience.
Kevin used his previous experiences and network to produce InConvenience on a mere $10,000 budget. He lead all production efforts and managed the finances for the 35mm film with a 40 person crew, coming in under budget.
Kevin’s passion for filmmaking began during a summer project in high school. Since this time, Kevin has been working with veteran executive producer and aunt, Sheila Tighe. Sheila worked very closely with Kevin in the role executive producer for InConvenience.

A comedy of murder, mayhem… and mullets
InConvenience is the story of two brothers, Brad and Vic Fox, in a race against time. The brothers owe money to a local Loan Shark, who doesn’t only collect money, he collects fingers. When they find out on Saturday morning that they have twenty-four hours to come up with the five-thousand dollars they owe, their options are limited. With no money saved up and no family with the resources, they turn to the one man who they can trust, Uncle Dennis. A man living off the fat of the land, and off the grid. With Dennis' questionable advice, it doesn’t take long for the three of them to hatch a plan to rob a convenience store to pay the debt. Only one problem. The store doesn’t have nearly enough money that early on a weekend. Through pure accident, and a lot of luck, the guys manage to avoid getting arrested during the robbery and start to work the night shift…
Working the store is actually not a bad idea, and business is pretty good, but Brad and Vic are on a race against time – and, as usual, losing. Fresh on their heels is Memphis Rubomb, the ultimate American patriot, and an absolute terror to deal with; he's looking to collect the money owed to the loanshark a little early for his own trip to save America. Add in the mix Officer Pipe, the resident joke on the Milton Police Force, also closing in on them, and Brad and Vic have no choice but to up the ante. Never content with half measures, they go thermonuclear and decide to throw the party of the century… right in the store. Booze and food certainly won’t be a problem – but where to get partygoers? Enter Ron Donko, the best party promoter in town. With his help, our guys manage to pack The Country Club Mart with a riotous assortment of local characters and are soon rolling in dough.
InConvenience is the story of their hectic and hilarious attempts to not only stay alive but also avoid going to jail for a long time…
